Monday Madness: A Dog’s Eye View of Slinging T-Shirts and Chaos
Share
Life around here? It’s a circus. And guess who’s keeping it from falling apart? Me, the dog. While the humans run around trying to keep up with their lives, I’m here, watching, managing, and occasionally barking orders. Mondays are my favorite—it’s chaos with a side of comedy, all from my spot near the couch.
Let’s start with Dad. He works a full-time job, which means every weekday morning, he’s up early, guzzling coffee like it’s his life force, and dashing out the door to the office. But here’s the thing—his brain isn’t just focused on work. Oh no. He’s juggling a side hustle too. When he’s not in meetings or solving work problems, he’s brainstorming blog posts, creating t-shirt designs, or figuring out how to make the next big splash with Skulduggery. You’d think the guy would take a break when he gets home, but nope—he’s right back at it after the kids are asleep.
Speaking of the kids, there are four of them. Yes, four. They’re an endless tornado of energy, noise, and crumbs (which I don’t mind, honestly—crumbs are kind of my thing). It’s my job to keep an eye on them, at least when I’m not busy trying to remind Dad about my walk.
Then there’s the real boss of the house—Mum!. She’s the glue that holds this family together. She runs the house, makes dinner, keeps everyone fed and functional, and somehow finds time to support Dad as he chases his dream. Honestly, I don’t know how she does it. Without her, this place would descend into chaos faster than you can say “laundry pile.”
As for me, I play my part too. I’m the motivator, the stress reliever, and occasionally, the distraction. I nudge Dad when he spends too long staring at a screen, and I make sure the kids aren’t up to anything too wild. I’ve even been known to curl up nearby when he’s sketching a new t-shirt design or drafting a blog post late at night—it’s my version of moral support.
It’s not all smooth sailing, of course. The house always needs something fixed, the pool somehow manages to look worse every Monday, and everyone’s running on caffeine and pure determination. But despite the chaos, there’s something inspiring about it. Dad works hard, Mum keeps everything running, and together, they make it all happen.
At the end of the day, this household is proof that life is messy, busy, and beautifully complicated. And through it all, Dad finds time to keep the t-shirt dream alive—whether he’s writing posts, tweaking designs, or brainstorming the next big idea.
So, if you’ve ever wondered how someone finds time to sling t-shirts amidst all this madness, here’s your answer: it takes a village. A hardworking Mum, a determined Dad, four wild kids, and, of course, a very diligent dog.
Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to remind Dad about my evening walk.
